2009 Ambyth Priscus

Released in January 2011, our Priscus (latin: venerable) was first fermented in brand new French oak, then aged in neutral oak and stainless steel barrels for 15 months. The aromas are like peaches, apricots and green apples at the height of summer. On the palate, the green apple crispness resonates with a creamy, rich mouth feel and minerality. This white wine is a rich wine, not for the faint of heart. Enjoy this wine as an aperitif, but we keep returning to it at the end of an evening as an after dinner refresher.
