This documentary is about natural wine in California. Each natural wine producer will have his own definition of “natural wine”, but most would rally in saying that they are dedicated to put the terroir on a pedestal. Through interviews of natural wine producers in their own working environment, the vineyard and the winery, this documentary film reveals a budding natural wine movement in California. Passionate natural wine producers explain how they differ from other wine producers, underlying the importance of organic and sustainable farming, the use of native yeasts during the fermentation of the grapes, and the stingy use of sulfur. This natural wine movement currently blooming in California is a manifestation of a new generation of wine drinkers who care about authenticity and the environment.
